I want to roll with these guys...

I made an earlier post about the NOISEttes and posted a vid of Miss Shingai Shoniwa showcasing her crazy vocals.

Can I please borrow your voice for a day? Just one whole day! It's so dope how Shingai can go on singing with her "jazzy" voice and in a split of a second do some intensive "heavy metal-ing".

Ah, I love it oh so much! It's like Led Zeppelin and Billie Holiday gave birth to a child and out came Shingai.

Big ups to Dan Smith (guitarist) and he is damn good at it too. Jamie Morrison on da-da-drums. Such a sick ass trio!

Well, recently the neurons from my brain are sending failed messages to my fingertips because I honestly can't write anymore. I think it's because my brain juice ran out from so much analyzing. A refill is due in time.

Anywho! On to using your temporal and occipital lobes...

Check here for the band's Myspace-o!!

Here is a playlist of their debut album : What's The Time Mr. Wolf?

Noisettes "Whats The Time Mr. Wolf?"

My personal favorites: All of them

I wanted to post some of their music videos here, but YouTube is telling me "nah, chill". So I'm going to give you the link and you can check them out yourself. (You see, I think about those who are lazy)

One last thing and I'll leave you folks alone, they are coming out with their sophmore album: Wild Young Hearts on March 30th

support the Indies!!

the greatest feeling

I've been following this young man for quite some time.
His name is Durand Bernarr and he is pretty much doing some "big thangs" on YouTube.
He is crazy, crazy talented.
So I was looking for some gospel songs and I knew where to go... Mr. Bernarr himself.
I've been singing along to this video since 12 p.m. and I can't stop.

(singing a cover of "Praying Spirit" by the Clark Sisters)

He spoke to me today

My paralysis has cured.
Not only can I walk, but I can sing and dance again.

Thank you Lord.

I can't stop

So I discovered Little Dragon over the summer (late pass, once again) and since then I CAN'T stop listening to them.

The beats are sick. Big ups to Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrik Källgren Wallin (bass), and Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards).

Yukimi Nagano is super gorgeous along with her crazy electrifying-soul, jazzy voice.
Her vibrato reminds me a lot like Badu's.

I love their album. One of my top faves of 2008 even though it debuted in 2007.

Check the band's musica

This song and video is dripped in dopeness. Sit back and fall in love.

Yukimi Nagano has a blogger as well and she always keeps me on my tippy toes. I heart her and her adventures. (click link below)
